Through My Dog’s Eyes

#FunWithMacroWeek continues…

I laid down on the floor to try to take a picture of my dog, Ginny Weasley’s, eyes. I also asked my daughter Julia to hold up gold reflector to bounce some golden-y light that direction. But instead of seeing deep into Ginny’s soul, I saw myself and my camera, the gold reflector, and the room. Ginny is so devoted to her family that I really shouldn’t be surprised to look into her eyes and find us staring back. It makes for an interesting self-portrait of sorts. I put a second image below that I like a little less, except that my lens is perfectly positioned where Ginny’s pupil would be.

Fun fact: To get Ginny to look toward the lens I put a dog treat on top of it.
