Russian Sage in the First Light of Morning

[Click on image to view in a lightbox.]

I took this photograph of two Russian sage stems crossing as part of a top-secret YouTube project about contemplative photography. (You can watch Part 1 here, and Part 2 here.) Every morning for a week I watched the first light of the morning grace the very tops of this plant. I finally got the hint and took this photograph with my macro lens.

My next YouTube video comes out on Sunday, November 28. I expect to keep releasing new videos every two weeks…but no promises, as I’m still learning the ropes. I will say, though: I’m having an absolute blast with it. To make sure you never miss a new video, subscribe here and click the little bell for notifications.
