Nesting Ospreys at Twilight
[Click image to view in a lightbox.]
Toward twilight last night I went to check on the Ospreys. For the last hundred yards, one flew alongside my car with a fish in its talons. Then I sat at a respectful distance and watched it tear into dinner. I think there is at least one nestling at the bottom of the nest (Osprey nestlings hatch at different times). I also think this nest gets a little bigger every year. It’s certainly impressive.
