Coyote on Easter Sunday

I drove out to Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge in early evening, Easter Sunday, in the hopes of photographing a short-eared owl. That didn’t happen—though I did manage to snap a Hail Mary shot of a Great Horned Owl on the way home. And I also watched this beautiful coyote in a sun-drenched field east of the wildlife refuge.
