Today I went noticing…at the Oregon 4H Center, a camp in the woods near West Salem. Our daughter Molly is doing a yearlong exchange program next school year (!) through Rotary International, and today was a daylong training for parents. Molly was there the whole weekend for her own training. Kate and I have so many emotions about Molly going — pride (this was her idea, and she’s driven the whole process herself), excitement, nervousness, and preemptively missing her. But it’s pretty incredible — and a relief — how well Rotary supports these students (and parents).

When the day was over, I did a 20-minute wander with the camera before we loaded up the van and driving home.
